Special Events at St. Paul’s Primary School
St. Paul’s is committed to providing a well-rounded educational experience that nurtures the whole child, aligning with our school’s vision and values. Throughout the academic year, we host a variety of special events that bring our community together, celebrate our achievements, and provide opportunities for our pupils to shine. These events exemplify the care, support, and camaraderie that are central to the St. Paul’s experience.
We are proud of the progress we have made this year and look forward to many more exciting developments to come.
As we continue to grow and evolve, we are committed to providing a nurturing environment where our pupils can truly “Shine Like Stars in the World,” just as our vision states.
Throughout the year….
Bringing the Community Together
We have enjoyed a variety of community events throughout the year, including bingo nights, school discos, and movie nights. These gatherings have been a wonderful opportunity for our pupils, families, and staff to come together, fostering the sense of friendship and belonging that is so central to our school’s values.
At St. Paul’s, we believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential for our pupils’ success. We actively encourage and welcome families to be involved in the life of our school community.
Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) classes hold half-termly family days, where parents and carers are invited to join their children in the classroom for engaging learning activities.
We invite all parents and carers to attend regular parent-teacher consultations, where you can discuss your child’s progress and next steps.
Parents are welcome to join us for special book-sharing sessions, where you can enjoy refreshments such as biscuits or mince pies while looking through your child’s work.
Parents are invited to attend our weekly Star of the Week assemblies, where we celebrate the achievements of our exceptional pupils.
Connecting with Nature
In line with our school’s vision to develop children’s connection to the local and global community, we also host a range of nature-focused events:
Star Gazing Evenings: Join us for magical star gazing events, where we can explore the wonders of the night sky together.
Gardening Workshops: Get your hands dirty and learn alongside your child in our school garden, where we cultivate a love for the natural world.
Forest School: We are fortunate to have Forest School which is well used and popular amongst our children and families. It has been used as part of the curriculum, for Father’s Day events, community events and at a school sleepover.
Celebrating the Arts
At St. Paul’s, we believe the arts are essential for nurturing creativity, self-expression, and a well-rounded education. Throughout the year, our pupils have numerous opportunities to showcase their talents and explore their artistic passions.
Music is another area of focus at St. Paul’s. Our pupils have formed their own bands and performed lively Rock Steady concerts for their parents and the school community. These performances allow our young musicians to develop their talents and share their love of music.
Our school choir perform at Young Voices every year. It is always an incredible event where our children sing and dance, showcasing their incredible talents.
Twice a year, our pupils take the stage to share their learning and celebrate religious festivals. These special events are a wonderful way for our school community to come together and reflect on our Christian values of kindness, trust, love, courage, respect, and friendship.
Through these diverse arts experiences, our pupils are able to “Shine Like Stars” and embody the core values that are at the heart of our school. We are proud of the creativity and dedication our pupils demonstrate, and we look forward to many more exciting arts events in the future.
