OPAL
Beyond our school walls, our pupils have the opportunity to participate in the Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) programme, where they develop essential life skills through outdoor exploration and adventure. Mr Colley and Mr Perry have led the OPAL project over the last two years. This culminated in being accredited with Platinum Awar, making us the first primary school in Warwickshire to achieve this accolade!
Party on the Playground
Our recent “Party on the Playground” event was a perfect example of how we bring our community together to celebrate our shared vision and values.
The event was a resounding success, with hundreds of people from our school and local community coming together to enjoy an evening filled with fun, laughter, and a true sense of fellowship. The playground was transformed into a vibrant festival atmosphere, complete with a live band, a delicious BBQ, and a well-stocked bar to cater to all tastes. Throughout the event, our pupils showcased their talents, with many trying their hand at exciting circus skills workshops. The “Beat the Goalie” challenge was a particular hit, as pupils and parents alike tested their football skills against our enthusiastic teaching staff. The highlight of the event, however, was the teachers’ surprise flash mob performance, which had everyone dancing and cheering along.
Reflecting our school’s core values of kindness, trust, and respect, the party was a true celebration of the strong bonds within our community. Neighbours mingled with parents, and pupils of all ages played together, demonstrating the warm and inclusive spirit that is so integral to life at St. Paul’s.
The event was a resounding success, raising over £4,000 for our school’s initiatives. This impressive achievement is a testament to the generosity and commitment of our families, who continue to support our vision of enabling every child to “Shine Like Stars In The World.”
New Kitchen Launched with a Cake Off
We are delighted to announce that we have a brand-new kitchen, thanks to the hard work of Dave, Mr. Uttley, and Mr. Chadwick. To celebrate this exciting addition, we held a cake-off competition for all our classes. Our very own Mr. Chadwick and Mrs. Dorans took on the important role of judges, and we were amazed by the creativity and baking skills of our talented pupils.
Play Making Festival
Our Year 4 pupils recently had the exciting opportunity to perform in a play at Hartshill High School, collaborating with five other local schools in a production of Hamlet. Performing in front of a large audience was a thrilling experience that built our pupils’ confidence and teamwork skills.
Goodbye Year 6
After seven years of hard work and dedication, it was only right that our Year 6 pupils had the opportunity to crate wonderful memories which would last them a lifetime and mark their transition to secondary education. The pupils worked incredibly hard to showcase their talents in a final performance of ‘Alice in Wonderland’. They sangm dances and acted their hearts out. The pupils also fulfilld their ‘bucket list’ – ice creams, chippy lunch, visits to the park, games day and of course, a water fight! They also had the ‘best time ever’ at their Leaver’s Party. They were treated to BBQ and mocktails, a live band, dancing, pass the parcel, photo booth and sweets and cakes galore! The week ended with a very special Leaver’s Assembly, where the children’s achievements talents and commitment were celebrated.
