St. Paul’s C of E Primary School is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for all our pupils.
We are proud to offer The Orchard, a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) that caters to the unique needs of our children. At the heart of our SRP is a deep commitment to the school’s core values of kindness, trust, love, courage, respect, and friendship. These Christian principles guide our work and ensure that every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
The Orchard is a Resource Provision based within St Paul’s C of E Primary School which enables children to attend a mainstream school whilst also accessing specialist provision. Children who attend the The Orchard have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The Orchard meets the needs of learners (usually from Warwickshire) who have Autistic Spectrum (AS) needs and complex communication and interaction difficulties (C & I). Placements in The Orchard are agreed by the Local Authority Provision Panel.
At St. Paul’s C of E Primary School, we are committed to ensuring all children receive every opportunity to thrive and achieve all of which they are capable. We are a fully inclusive school, and children in The Orchard are a part of our school family. They are supported with a highly personalised and individual curriculum, based on targets from their EHCPs. The curriculum is adapted and developed with the needs and preferences of each child in mind, thus ensuring they are able to progress on a timescale appropriate to them. Children are taught through a mixture of child-led and adult directed activities, incorporating play, exploration, sensory development and targeted tasks.
There will be a maximum of eight children in The Orchard, supported by our teacher, Mrs Ridge, and our support staff, Mrs Carty and Miss Pallett who work alongside the SENDco, Mrs Millidge. We have our own outside area and sensory room, where children are able to develop their talents and feel valued, motivated and a part of our school family. Children attend mainstream classes where it is appropriate, and success can be celebrated. This gives children a sense of belonging to the wider school, extends their friendship groups and allows an experience of working in a larger group.
We are excited to be providing this provision for the children of Warwickshire with the support of the Local Authority. If you would like to learn more about The Orchard or arrange a visit, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are committed to helping every child at St. Paul’s C of E Primary School “Shine Like Stars in The World”.
