ST PAUL'S NURSERYPlay is our brain’s favourite way of learning

Welcome to Nursery. We are very excited to meet you all and welcome you to our class in September. In Nursery (Cherry Class) your teachers will be Mrs Bridge, Mrs Radford and Mrs Wykes. We follow a play-based curriculum where children are able to explore and learn in an environment which is safe and secure, yet challenging. We love learning through play!

We are proud of the welcoming, friendly environment we endeavour to create in Nursery. We like to think of ourselves as one big family. Our aim is for your child to be excited to come to Nursery. Though we understand it can be an anxious time for you and your child when starting a new setting, especially if they have never attended one before, we will attempt to make your child’s transition as smooth as possible. We will work flexibly with you, as parents, to ensure all individual children’s needs are met.

NURSERYAutumn term

During the Autumn term, your child will explore the topics ‘Ourselves’ and ‘Our Favourite Stories’. We are really looking forward to learning lots about them. At Nursery, we also enjoy following the children’s interests and try to plan for them as much as possible. If your child has a particular interest, please let a member of Nursery staff know and we will endeavour to incorporate it into our planning.

In Nursery, we are very lucky to have an outdoor classroom that your child can access throughout their session, in all weathers!  Therefore, it would be appreciated if a coat is brought into Nursery every day. We also ask for a pair of wellington boots be kept at Nursery for those rainy days.
