St Paul's Church of England Primary SchoolWhat is Spirituality?
Spirituality is the powerful force inside us which determines who we are. It is the very innermost being of an individual. Spirituality is what makes you come alive and form relationships with ourselves, others and the world.
To develop spirituality in St. Paul’s we:
Create opportunities to connect with ourselves, others and the world.
Are inclusive and create opportunities for children to learn about other people’s faiths, feelings and values
Encourage children to use their imagination and creativity and be unique
Create a time to listen to children and show them we care
Plan enrichment opportunities (trips, visitors, special days, clubs etc) that encourage awe and wonder and exploration of the world around us
Support children through the ‘ows and the wows’ of life
Ensure our school vision flows into all aspects of school life. It is modeled by adults and encouraged on a daily basis
Allow time for stillness and reflection in our Collective worship
Explore their own religion and the religions of other others
Create a feeling of safety and nurture where thoughts and ideas are valued
